The first runner-up of the recently concluded BBNaija reality show, Mercy Eke, has admitted to fabricating claims of having a billionaire boyfriend.
This revelation comes after she had initially disclosed her boyfriend’s supposed offer of 120 million Naira to dissuade her from participating in the show.
During her stay in the Big Brother house, Mercy Eke had shared that her boyfriend exhibited possessive jealousy, advising her against entering the popular reality show.
She went on to disclose that he had intentionally offered her a substantial sum of 120 million Naira to keep her from joining the competition, an offer which she had steadfastly declined.
However, in a recent interview with Toke Makinwa, Mercy Eke made a swift U-turn, confessing that she had fabricated the existence of a billionaire boyfriend.
The reality star explained that she had created this narrative in an attempt to deter male housemates from pursuing romantic relationships with her, as she was not interested in starting a relationship within the confines of the Big Brother house.
