Manchester United have, according to ESPN, added Kylian Mbappe to their list of transfer targets for 2022.
The Red Devils are expected to move to another proven frontman next summer, when Edinson Cavani’s last contract expires, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is willing to explore the possibility of luring a World Cup winner away from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) as a free agent.
Mbappe’s comments on the transfer
In June, Mbappe admitted he was unsure about his future at PSG.
“I have to make the right decision, which is difficult, and give myself the best chance of making a good decision,” said the 22-year-old.
“I’m somewhere where I’m happy, I feel good.
“But is it really the best place for me? I don’t have an answer yet.”
PSG want to keep Mbappe, but due to his contract situation will be powerless to prevent him from leaving on a free transfer next summer.
