The Phone and Allied Products Dealers Association of Nigeria (PAPDAN) has approved the approval of the 5G network by the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

Ifeanyi Akubue, the president of PAPDAN, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that 5G, when adopted, would meet the agitation of the innovative youth.

All the news reported that the FEC on Sept. 8 approved the adoption of 5G . good in the country by the National Communication Commission (NCC).

Akubu said that our young people were innovative and that the introduction of 5G in the country would encourage them to be more innovative.

According to him, we are in a digital world and its adoption will improve development and productivity due to its fast connectivity.

“The country’s youth are digitally oriented and look forward to new innovations; its adoption will help them bring out their creativity.

“It is because of the fast connectivity to the internet that innovations are worth trying.

“It will also encourage those techies to catch up with new innovations.

“It’s a good one because we’ll be able to catch up with the global world, but the government should also try to ensure there’s enough power to make it effective,” he said.

According to him, it will positively impact the mobile device business as new devices are introduced with 5G features.

He said the business benefits might not be immediately apparent when it was introduced, but there would be demand for phones with 5G features.

Akubu said some phones with 4G features can also be used with 5G, so all in all, it’s a good idea as even 2G and 3G phones are still on the market.

However, he said the myth of COVID-19 associated with 5G was not substantive because there were no health implications associated with 5G.
