Barbadian singer Robyn ‘Rihanna’ Fenty has confirmed that new music is on the way five years after the release of her eighth studio album ‘Anti’.
While commenting on the sequel to ‘Anti’ in an Associated Press chat about her latest Savage X Fenty show, the ‘Work’ singer told fans to expect a very different sound when she finally releases her highly anticipated ninth studio album.
She said, ‘You’re not going to expect what you hear. Whatever you know about Rihanna, it won’t be what you hear.
“I’m really experimenting. And music is like fashion, you have to be able to play.”
The Barbadian singer added that she has fun making her music.
Fans of the Fenty Beauty queen have been waiting for what seems like an eternity for some new songs and all Rihanna has been doing has been hinting at the new album(s) since she last released ‘Anti’ in January 2016.
In March, the 33-year-old music sensation shared a video on her Instagram to celebrate that her album ‘Anti’ became the first album by a black female artist to spend five years in a row on the Billboard 200 chart.
In the comment section, an excited fan asked her to celebrate the milestone by releasing a song. In response, Rihanna wrote; “I think I should” with a “soon” emoji.
