How to transfer photos from Samsung Cloud to another cloud?

Samsung earlier announced that it will shut down some Samsung Cloud services, including photo backups. The closing date was later postponed.

We have come up with a way to help users transfer their photos from Samsung cloud to another cloud service as quickly as possible.

Most cloud services have apps that can be installed on a PC to automatically sync files to and from the cloud in the file as changes occur. Examples of these cloud services include OneDrive (the one Samsung recommends #kickbacks), Google Drive, and Dropbox.

We’ve prepared instructions for using Google Drive once it’s installed on the PC. Once all that is set up, users can start downloading the photos from their Samsung cloud account.

Since these photos are transferred from the Samsung cloud, they are uploaded automatically without you having to do anything.

Download photos from Samsung Cloud to your PC

First log in to the Samsung cloud.

Click Gallery.

Place a check in the circle at the top with the text Alland then click the To download button in the top right corner.

Select the folder you want to download your photos to and click Save.

When downloaded from the cloud, the photos are compressed into a compressed folder. Therefore, users need to decompress the downloaded files to upload the individual photos to the new service. Otherwise, only the compressed folder will be uploaded.

Downloading photos from a mobile device

It is much more structured to download content from computer to upload content to new service, but users can also download content from Samsung cloud app on Samsung device.

Open Settings and tap your account name at the top of the list.

Scroll down and tap Samsung Cloud.

Tap Gallery.

Tap the right arrow to the far right of Recently added.

Tap All to view all photos.

Tap the three dots in the top right corner > To download.

Tap To download at the bottom of the screen.

Users can re-upload the photos to the service of their choice once the file has been downloaded.
