Hadi Abubakar Sirika is the current Minister for Aviation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He is a former Member House of Representative, and assumed the Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2011, where he represents Katsina North Senatorial District under the platform of Congress for Progressive. Sirika held the position of vice-chairman of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Committee set by the Nigerian Senate.

Controversy
There is an allegation that Hadi Sirika has been using his power and authority as Minister of State for Aviation to bring his staunch favorites into the ministry through dubious methods.
The people who were called to start the training were said to be completely different from the people who were interviewed. In addition, this group of people was well above the age required for employment, which is 30 years.
There was also an accusation from Westlink Airline Chairman Captain Ibrahim Mshelia about the level of secrecy set by Hadi Sirika regarding Nigerian Airlines which was proposed to start operations in April 2022.
The captain said Hadi Sirika is trying to build the airline in his own name and using Nigerian funds to which he is not entitled.
