There was a pandemonium at the Osun state secretariat of the All Progressives Congress on Saturday when party members and mobsters loyal to Governor Gboyega Oyetola and Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola clashed during a meeting.
The meeting was the meeting of the Appeals Committee of the Ward Congress in Osogbo, the state capital.
Gunshots were heard leading to tensions after members stormed the hall on Saturday morning to file petitions.
According to reports, supporters of the governor and the minister collided during the exercise, with a member identified as Muyideen Ajetunmobi suffering a head injury.
However, heavily armed security officers were forced to intervene when they rescued some members of the appeals committee from the building.
The Nation reports that some committee members were still being held in office.
