A one-time Nigerian senator, Dino Melaye, comically – in his usual way – described Saturday Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta as the source of the English Premier League (EPL) club’s problems.
without profit Arsenal lost their third consecutive EPL game on Saturday, losing 5-0 to Manchester City at the Etihad.
It was the London club’s worst start in its history (three losses without scoring).
Arteta was brought in in December 2019 to try to revive Arsenal’s fortunes. But the Gunners are looking further than ever to get back into the Champions League, let alone win the title for the first time since 2004.
Melaye is a well-known Arsenal fan and often dons their jersey. Like thousands of Arsenal fans around the world, he is deeply dissatisfied with the situation at the club. Melaye sang in Yoruba language and asked Arteta to leave the club.
“Arsenal coach hears the word of God… gooooooooo,” reads Melaye’s message on Twitter.
Arsenal then meet Norwich City on September 11.
