The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, has issued a response to recent claims made by Mohbad’s childhood friend, Primeboy, who was declared wanted in connection with the murder case of Mohbad.
Primeboy had stated in an interview that he was never invited by the police to assist in the investigation before being declared wanted and having a bounty of N1 million placed on his head.
He further revealed that he voluntarily presented himself for interrogation after consulting with his lawyer and family.
Reacting to Primeboy’s interview, PRO Bright Edafe took to his Twitter page to address the matter.
Delta State PRO wrote;
“Well sha, Investigation is still ongoing.”
In similar news, Singer Ibrahim Owodunni, famously known as Primeboy, has asserted that the police didn’t extend an invitation for questioning regarding Mohbad’s demise before branding him as a wanted suspect.
He made this revelation during an interview with TVC News on Thursday, just before voluntarily handing himself over.
The Lagos police command declared Primeboy wanted on Wednesday, saying he failed to honour their invitation. They also placed a N1 million bounty for anyone with information that would lead to his arrest.
But the singer, who appeared before the police with his lawyer, said he earlier wanted to go to the authorities but was advised to wait till he was invited.
