Labor Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has declared he has what it takes to run for president in the 2023 general election.
When asked if he is considering the possibility of joining Mr Atiku, with whom he ran in the 2019 presidential election, Mr Obi said “No one goes into a game thinking about what’s going to happen. Everyone goes in to win.”
“I am entering this competition to become the next president of Nigeria. I think I have what it takes to win’ Mr Obi told Channels TV in an interview Monday night.
Mr Obi also responded to Mr Atiku’s statement rejecting him and the Labor Party as structureless and non-candidate who cannot win elections.
“A miracle is the foundation of our faith, what strengthens our faith is a miracle,‘ he replied in response to the PDP’s presidential candidate, whom he still considers a friend.
“What strengthens our faith is a miracle. I look forward to the next miracle next year to complete my journey.”
